Hi Party People of Skegness 
We need a little help reviewing Skegness night life and night clubs.
I haven’t drank alcohol since becoming a Mum 18 years ago, both my hubby and I no longer go to pubs or nightclubs, so I feel it would be wrong for us to give a review about Skegness night clubs and pubs, we’d have nothing to compare them against.
If people could leave a message about their favourite or worst Skegness pub or night club it would help others searching for somewhere good to have a night out in Skegness.
The Embassy Theatre was almost full with few seats left, well over 1,000 people in the audience to watch the first nights performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s colourful family musical Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat.
Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat certainly was colourful and lively, I enjoyed the songs more than my Hubby who said the songs were “to Disney for his taste”. My husband thought Joseph was going to be a biblical retelling of Joseph and was a little confused when Josephs brothers did a cowboy number
I did explain what Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph was about to my husband, I even went as far as to look up the history of the show before buying the tickets, but he never listens to me, I think men just hear white noise when there wives speak
At last new for 2009 Skegness Fantasy Island has introduced a wrist band scheme like Bottons Pleasure Beach has had for years.
Hallelujah, Fantasy Island listened to Skegness holiday makers, there’s been calls from visitors to Fantasy Island for years to have a wrist band, we have lived in Skegness for 3 years and 2009 was the first year we have been to Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells, before the wrist band was introduced Fantasy Island was too expensive for a family to visit. We worked out it would cost more than a day trip to Alton Towers, so never went even though Ingoldmells is next to Skegness, the introduction of the new wrist bands means we can go to Fantasy Island several times a year
The price of the Wrist bands was very reasonable, we paid £12 for an off season adult ticket and £6 for a child off season ticket.
One of Skegness oldest attractions, the Skegness Model Village can be found on South Parade near Skegness Clock Tower.
Skegness Model Village is good for a slow walk around and it’s pretty.
It’s a quaint Model Village with comical shop signs on the tiny buildings and a model train set interwoven through the small houses, although this attraction is called The Skegness Model Village, it’s not actually a model of Skegness as you might assume. It’s a model village of a countryside scene, a small village or town. So don’t be disappointed not to find Skegness buildings in miniature within the Model Village.
We had a wonderful time watching a unique performance of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol in Skegness performed by the very talented StrangeFace Company, we absolutely loved the show.
Well doneto Lincolnshire Arts and Skegness Grosvenor House Hotel on North Parade for securing this unusual theater performance. The Grosvenor House Hotel Imperial Ballroom was full on a cold December evening (December 3rd).
A Christmas Carol was performed with the StrangeFace actors wearing weird and wonderful masks, I’ve never seen a theater show like this before it was awesome. The masks made it so lots of Charles Dickens characters could be performed by a cast of just five players, yet because there was so many masks it made the show seem as though there was a cast of 20 or more. The StrangeFace actors did an excellent job in bringing to life each mask and making them individual, I’m surprised that this traditional art form isn’t used more in the theatre.
We went to see Vampires Rock Christmas Show on the 4th of December 2009 at the Embassy Theatre in Skegness.

WOW WHAT A SHOW! Vampires Rock is two and a half hours of 100% pure adrenalin pumping fun! Steve Steinmens fantastic Vampire Rock Show returned to the Embassy Theatre in Skegness with a new look to the show filled with new songs and a new character in the form of Baron Von Rockulars slave Boswell. Boswell has taken over from the previous slaves role Stringfellow, I sat and waited in anticipation could he be as good as StringFellow in the comedy relief?
2010 is looking to be a great year for the Embassy Theatre in Skegness with shows that will WOW crowds of all ages.
The Embassy is well worth a visit in 2010 with top shows like Andrew Lloyd Webber’s: Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat starring Craig Chalmers, from the hit BBC show Any Dream Will Do, performs in this family musical, Joseph will be performing in February 2010.
A Michael Jackson Tribute band all the way from the USA will be performing at the Embassy in February 2010 and for adults who enjoy a good laugh with a naughty sense of humour Julian Clary will be sweeping into town in the same month.
My son and I went to see Shakespeare 4 Kidz Macbeth at the Embassy Theatre on the 23rd November 2009.
It’s a production for children to learn about the play by William Shakespeare’s called The Tragedie of Macbeth through a musical. I think it’s important for kids to learn about Shakespeare, but in a fun way, so this is the perfect opportunity for my son to see Macbeth.
Although this Shakespeare’s Macbeth 4 Kidz production is aimed at children, the show was anything but just for kids. The theatre production was thrilling and exciting, a must see for all. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when the witches appeared on stage, we jumped out of our seats when the banging on the gate keepers door echoed around the theatre and even laughed out loud at the comedy.
