I love the place and Bottons is my fav part. My mum gives up tryin to get me away from the fun fair as i spend all day on it :) Although the ghost train bores me to death!! Extreme is my fav ride now Surf rider has gone :'(

There was a water ride at Bottons it is now an arcade and has the Rockin Roller Coaster on top of it. It was some kind of water jungle ride and had the Wild Mouse on top – it was certainly there for a few years when Botton Bros took over the fair in 1965. Think they aq

me and my family have just come back from skegness it was our first ever trip there as we always have gone to wales it was an amazing week n definatly didnt want to come home there was just so much to do we did not have the time to do it all so ive booked to go again next yr cant wait

Just changin the subject slightly but on the same track (or waterway as the case may be), as the Bottons water ride is continuously going round all the time with at least 95% of the carriages empty, why the heck do they charge so much for people to go on it, if they charged less, they’d get more wet bums on the seats and earn much more in the way of finances and publicity, that way people may also spend more time and money in the amusement park and I ain’t no Einstein??

I don’t remember it at all and I’m 36, so it must have closed years ago.

The only boat ride we have in Skegness is the Skegness water way at the back of Bottons Pleasure Beach, maybe your thinking of that.

The boat ride still runs today, but it’s not know as the tunnel of love, it’s just called the Skegness Waterway.

That’s a great idea, filming the ghost train and putting it up on YouTube :)

I have to agree it is a total waste of tokens/money and people should be warned.

We don’t need anymore little kids stamping off with their grandads chasing after them trying to calm them down after a massive disappointing ghost train ride :)

When my son was around 5-ish I took him on the ghost train at Brighton and he came out with his head down scared to death LOL.

Now that’s a real ghost train, I have to admit I was a little unnerved by it myself :)

We have got to agree with what has been said, I’m no ghost train expert but what I do imagine a ghost train to be like is a million miles away from the one at buttons. It’s embarrassing and totally rubbish, it’s not scary and has nothing inside apart from a dark room and some doors in and out. A complete waste of your hard earned tokens! In fact it’s that bad we still laugh about it to this day. I’m going to go on it again and film it for you tube hahaha!
